Not only did I finally get some paints but they are also selling canvases half-price at my local art store. Serendipity indeed! So, I have been busy—and happy.
I had a little breakthrough: rather than trying to make my acrylics behave like watercolours; I have started using watercolours on top of an acrylic undercoat—genius! (Or obvious, if you want to be harsh about it).
