This was my Summer project. I did a load of tiny paintings, built a small gallery, made lots of things from felt and now I am ready for my Incy Wincy Bang Bang stall at the Austin Handmade Art&Craft Market….aaaaah.

This weekend I made brooches. I’m still at it.
Pinching myself. Sometimes, I paint to make myself feel like I exist. Probably a bit like tweeting for other people.
This one is all folky, it was probably that Bob Dylan film I watched last night that did it.
It’s called A Bird In The Hand is Worth A Multitude On the Barbed Wire. It is another weeny one (six inches by six). It is acrylic, ballpoint pen, ink and my favourite old pair of pyjamas, given an entirely new context - which is a good metaphor for retirement all round. Hmmm, is it obvious that I’ve spent a LOT of time alone this week?
Deary me, I’m beginning to covet those weird glasses that surgeons wear. 2 inches by 2.
like a speck. 5 inches by 5.
No bigger than the palm of my hand.
Bird 5inches by 5. When I was little, my Grandma had a picture a bit like this on her wall and it used to terrify me and captivate me all at once. I thought it was a picture of what you saw when you died.
My friend Phil took one of my favourite photos in the world and I am always ripping it off. This incy wincy piece is 5 inches by 5.
For Grandma. I painted this yesterday, I suppose as a way to pray for her as she died. I’ll miss her a lot, she was a mighty woman. There’s tiny writing on the white strip. It reads: “they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” Daniel 12: 3
Ickle (7 inches by 5).
This is on a very chunky canvas and sticks pleasingly far out of the wall.
